HOPE has a skilled workforce to implement a diversity of programmes including disaster and emergency response, humanitarian interventions targeting vulnerable communities and humanitarian development.

Livelihoods:
Poverty: We are enabling those in extreme poverty to forge a way out through secure livelihoods. The biggest thief of human dignity is inability to afford basic needs to live a decent life. We offer practical solutions to enable individuals and families to earn an income for sustainable livelihoods

Health:
In emergency and humanitarian operations, access to essential medicines and pharmaceuticalsis paramount to help a people stay alive.

Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH)
Water, Sanitation and Hygiene is a critical and integral sector in all disaster, emergency and humanitarian operations. HOPE implements WASH interventions including construction of toilets, water access points, drilling of bore holes, shallow wells and dams.

Food Security
At the heart of human life is access to adequate food. Even in conflict situations, it is possible to support communities to grow and access essential foods as they await humanitarian assistance.

Education
We are improving literacy and providing a safe and encouraging school environment for all children. We also support adult literacy interventions.

Gender equality
We are working with women and men to significantly reduce inequalities and empower everyone living in extreme poverty to improve their lives.
Information campaign and legal assistance: We conduct community mobilization and sensitization with target information including human rights, legal rights and justice systems, self-help and promotion of available services. We also provide pro bono legal assistance to individuals and communities that cannot afford to hire legal services. 

Construction and Infrastructure
HOPE has a wealth of experience in construction, infrastructure and rehabilitation led by teams of professional engineers both national and expatriate.

Technical support:
HOPE provides technical support in carrying out feasibility studies, preparing technical drawings and plans and bills of quantity. Our technical experience in construction and rehabilitation of roads, bridges, air fields, construction of infrastructure for education, health, emergency shelter and storage.

Pharmaceutical Management
HOPE has experience in handling pharmaceutical productsincluding the supply chain of pharmaceutical products, delivery, bulk storage and distribution to health facilities. HOPE supports capacity building of pharmacists and health workers to efficiently manage and utilize pharmaceutical products.

Fuel Management
HOPE has experience in managing fuel products including the supply chain of fuel. We utilize up-to-date management systems that enable us monitor and analysethe performance of fuel stations, consumption by assets. The necessary capacity building for partners is provided including provision of the necessary forms and guidelines to operate the fuel management system.

Voluntary Repatriation and Reintegration
HOPE in partnership with other stakeholders supports durable solutions including facilitating voluntary repatriation of asylum seekers and refugees to return to their countries of origin or refugee settlement.We provide the necessary logistics including construction of essential infrastructure to facilitate voluntary repatriation and management of transit centres ensuring safety and dignity for the returnees.

Fleet Management
HOPE has the capacity to manage fleet including heavy trucks, light vehicles, buses, tractors, cranes, boats, etc. The fleet is utilized for the movement of core relief items such as food, non-food items including pharmaceutical supplies. HOPE also ensures that the fleet is maintained in adequate condition to meet operational needs. HOPE ensures there is a dedicated and motivated team of drivers and equipment operators. This is achieved through regular capacity building of this workforce that equips them with the skills to perform their jobs better. Thereby ensuring safe transportation of cargo and persons.

Chartered Flights Management
HOPE provides seamless integration of aircraft needs including charter for transportation of passengers and cargo, securing the necessary security clearance.

Warehouse Management
HOPE has a wealth of experience in warehouse management. The warehouses can be utilized during emerging disasters or emergencies and also while supporting short or long term humanitarian interventions. The warehouses are utilized for storage and handling of relief items including food, non-food items and pharmaceuticals. HOPE ensures that items in the warehouses are managed in a professional way and in accordance with internationally recommended Standard Operating Procedures of warehouse management.

Mechanical Workshop Management
HOPE has a wealth of experience in maintenance and repair of various types of fleet, including heavy trucks, tractors, buses, light vehicles, motorcycles, generators and earth moving equipment. We ensure that all fleet, plant and equipment is professionally maintained in top mechanical condition at all times, the program operates workshops that do regular maintenance. Maintenance includes service and repairs when needed.
HOPE guarantees professionalism by deploying highly trained and specialized mechanics who manage the workshops and maintenance of the vehicles. All road licenses and insurance for project vehicles are renewed for a period of one year.
